4,146 Miles: a captive elephant's daydream.

This was my first animated short film - I made it in the Spring of 2023 as the final for my Intro to Animation class. During that class I became fascinated by rotoscope animation (tracing drawings over real footage) which is how this film was made. I chose rotoscoping for this project because I wanted to create an animation with realistic depictions of animals rather than as humanistic caricatures which is more typical in animation. This took a lot longer than I thought it would, hope you enjoy!
